Toenail reconstruction for damaged/fungal toenails

What is nail reconstruction?

Nail reconstruction improves the appearance of fungal, traumatised and thickened nails using a self levelling gel which can bond to a surface, add strength and harden with a glossy finish.

Properties of LCN products:

– No odour
– No discolouration
– No primer/chemical activator
– Non porous

How is the treatment applied?

A layer of undercoat is applied using an aseptic technique. Following that, multiple layers of LCN nail products are carefully worked onto the nail surface until an artificial nail plate is created. This is sealed using a UV light. You can then use a nail paint of your choice on top of the artificial nail if you wish.

How long does the appointment last?

The appointment typically lasts an hour and includes the treatment of cutting and buffing the nails before reconstruction if deemed necessary.

How long does the treatment last?

The treatment typically lasts 6-8 weeks but can last up until the nail grows out.

Absolutely top-notch service. A friendlier place you will not find! Everyone is so pleasant, patient, they really listen to you and address your concerns like the true professionals they are. They are knowledgeable and the results were fantastic. Highly recommend The Shand Practice.

“Central location with on street parking outside. Great service and flexible appointments. I have been to the practice for various injuries and pains such as ‘shin splints’ and plantar plate issues. Treatment included; massage, acupuncture, review on how I was running (treadmill) and I was also given exercises to do at home and lots information and tips to stop the problem reoccurring. I would like to thank Scott as it never has! A family run business who care about their clients and the results.”
